'The Little French Lawyer' by Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher is a witty and entertaining play that begins its first act with a heated argument between two friends over the merits of dueling. Dinant insists that wearing a sword requires using it to defend one's honor, while Cleremont argues for the virtues of discretion and restraint—marking the beginning of this comedic yet poignant work.
