Growing up dreaming of becoming a professional basketball player, a foot injury forced him to turn to acting.

After further success, Caviezel earned worldwide acclaim with his role as Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ. A committed Christian, Caviezel continues to act in film as well as on television.
