In Lost River it's fire season. With dwindling numbers, fires to fight, and family rivalry, the local fire brigade's existence is threatened.
Lill, a book illustrator who has recently moved from the city to a 25 hectare weekender with her husband Perry, a psychologist will quickly learn that if you want to be part of a community, you have to work for it. Volunteering as a rural fire fighter is Lill's chance to fit in. To survive this terrifying summer, Lill and the volunteers at the RFS will have to put aside their personal differences to save themselves and their town.
