It's 1935, and though life continues as fun and debaucherous as ever, much has changed since we last joined our characters in the foothills of the Himalayas.
For the ambitious Ralph Whelan (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) a political future hangs in the balance with the arrival of an influential rival, while the seemingly loyal Aafrin (Nikesh Patel) is increasingly involved with a violent independence movement. Meanwhile, Ralph's sister Alice (Jemima West) is torn between her previously estranged husband and her secret lover.
