1944: As World War II gripped Europe, the Nazis stole $300 million in gold from the French. When townspeople discovered the heist, they flooded the entire village and the fortune was lost to the bottom of a lake.

1995: A team of U.S. Navy Seals is on assignment in Sarajevo when they discover a sunken village containing the stolen gold. Against orders, the Special Forces unit embarks on a rogue mission to recover the treasure and return it to its right owners.
