  • Royal Ballet brings Tales of Beatrix Potter to lif

    by on

This a wonderful performance by the Royal Ballet. It is enchanting and will be enjoyed by all ages from the very young to the very old. It is set in the Lakes District UK. The costumes are exquisite and true to the 'tales'. The animal-like movements are performed with such dexterity and portray the idiosyncrasies of each - very naughty but oh! so! adorable mice, piglets dancing on trotter toes and Jeremy Fisher leaping effortlessly from lily pad to lily pad. Our family of grandchildren simply wore out the video and I was so pleased to get the DVD. The music by talented Australian composer Lanchbury does remain in ones' ears and in doing so brings the images alive in the mind
