  • Beautiful, lovely, and funny

I caught this sequel to The Gruffalo on the ABC completely by accident one year around Christmas. It was a cold and rainy day, which no doubt helped the atmosphere of this movie which is set in winter.

Based on the book of the same name by picture book wizard team Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, this is a lovely adaptation, completely faithful to the much loved book.

A word of warning, some children may it a bit scary. Mine loved it when he was 2, not so much when he turned 3. I'm hoping we'll go back the other way soon, as I love it!
