At last the definitive guide to green spirituality - I love it!
Green spirituality is much more than spirituality and nature. It is a paradigm shift, seeing the world through new eyes and making spirituality relevant to today's fast changing world. Green spirituality draws from many spiritual traditions as well as science. For instance, it covers eco-justice, social-justice, honouring the shadow, creativity, economics, education and much, much more.
The book is a set of 31 chapters, each chapter written by a contributor. This approach is green spirit in itself, offering diversity to make a unique whole. No one person or outlook contains all of the answers. Some of the contributors to the book may be familiar names; examples include Matthew Fox, Brian Swimme, Satish Kumar, Emma Restall Orr, David Korten and Neil Douglas-Klotz.
From an understanding of our world and our place in it, to understanding ourselves, then looking through the lens of different spiritual traditions and finally to practical outworking - the book is coherent and flowing.
The book has helped me, yet again, to celebrate my place in this awesome, beautiful world.
