Jamie has long been a Brisbane-based entertainer - back to the days of drumming for John Farnham and as a singer-songwriter having Los Angeles-recorded hit singles - but is also known across Australia for a nationally-broadcast television show with his scruffy puppet Agro. Between them Jamie and Agro have seven Gold Logies. Jamie and the B105 Morning Crew in Brisbane led some 115 consecutive radio ratings from the 1990s into the 2000s. Jamie and Wendy Harmer together won Sydney breakfast radio ratings in the 1990s. Jamie and Agro have since guest starred on national TV shows from Tonight Live to Sunrise. The book includes contributions from a number of Australians from Wally Lewis to national radio network bosses from Ranger Stacey to Denise Morecombe. Jamies co-author Bruce McMahon worked for The Courier-Mail for more than 30 years and is now a freelance writer for a variety of local and national publications.
