Hilary Kornblith rejects the method by which philosophers have traditionally investigated knowledge--conceptual analysis--in favour of a naturalistic approach. Knowledge, Kornblith argues, is a feature of the natural world, and so should be investigated using scientific methods. He offers an account of knowledge derived from the science of animal behaviour, and defends this against its philosophical rivals.
