This is a collection of 60 papers presented at the Third National Congress on Civil Engineering History and Heritage, as part of the American Society of Civil Engineers' National Convention, held October 10-13, 2001, in Houston, Texas. These papers provide information on civil engineering history and heritage programs in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, France, and other countries, and on preservation, restoration, and education activities carried out on individual historic civil engineering projects in these nations.
