Lionel Leventhal's bookselling and publishing career, 1954 to date (and continuing). Starting in a bookshop (Handel Smith Bookshop in Edgware, Middlesex), he soon moved to Herbert Jenkins. He was with Paul Hamlyn until founding Arms & Armour Press and later Greenhill Books. He founded the London Book Fair. He owned Charles Griffin, the scientific and technical publisher, and Lund Humphries Publishers, the publisher of art books.
