Ne en Pologne en 1892, Albert Tadlewski encourage par ses parents entreprend l'etude du piano pour lequel il fait preuve de dons exceptionnels. En parallele, il suivra des etudes de medecine. Pianiste confirme, accedant rapidement a une notoriete internationale qui l'amenera a jouer dans le monde entier, il creera en 1929 sa propre institution musicale a Nice. Deja reconnu par ses pairs, il se produira avec les plus grands, dont Ignacy Jan Paderewski qui le prendra sous sa protection et lui temoignera un indefectible attachement jusqu'a sa mort en 1941. Blesse en 1914-1918 durant la Grande Guerre, Albert Israel Tadlewski sera deporte a Auschwitz en 1943. Son destin se liera dans la resistance au sein meme du camp de concentration. Il y survivra un temps avant de mourir dans l'oubli.
