Important updates to your order and potential delays due to COVID-19.

Australia Post Delivery Delays

Australia Post have advised of significant delays to parcel deliveries to all metro areas and particularly regional areas. Customers in northern and western states should allow an additional 5-7 days for delivery, and an additional 3-5 days in other areas. Express Post services may also require additional time for delivery.

Australia Post are processing an unprecedented amount of parcels from increased online shopping, as well as implementing social distancing processes to maintain the safety of their staff and customers.

Qantas have stopped almost all domestic flights and this has reduced the freight capacity available. This means that more parcels are travelling by road than ever before with longer transit times.

Note that congestion in sorting parcels from these high volumes also means you may see a delay to parcel tracking updates for your order.

We are open for business

Angus & Robertson is 100% online and we are still open for business and we are currently despatching your orders as quickly as possible. We are working hard to minimise the impact of this crisis on our customers.

Tracking your A&R order

For deliveries outside of NSW, most parcels will go directly to an Australia Post sorting facility in your state before you will receive a tracking updates when Australia Post sorts your parcel. If you have been sent a tracking number by A&R then you can be 100% confident that your parcel is on the way, even if there aren’t immediate updates from Australia Post. Please note that Australia Post have advised to allow more time than usual to see updates on the progress of your delivery.

Changes to signature on delivery

In order to minimise risks Australia Post has advised that all parcels will no longer require a signature for delivery and/or collection. Parcels will be left with Authority to Leave with a photo where safe to do so or the delivery person will sign for you where you are present and receiving the parcel.

Delays in products arriving to us

Limited freight transport and lock-downs means that there are some disruptions in stock availability, which we will advise you of as soon as we are able, stating clearly the cause of the delay and how we plan to mitigate it.

How A&R is adapting to COVID-19

  • To ensure that we operate as safely as possible our warehouse has only essential staff present and staff temperature and wellness checks are in place before anybody can access the premises.
  • Strict social-distancing and hygiene requirements are also in place and all non-essential staff are working remotely.
  • Our automated warehouse systems and packaging machines ensure that your product is handled as little as possible.
  • The Australia Post automated systems also ensure there is very little handling of your delivery whilst it is in their care.
