A light-hearted look at art through canine eyes.
Join illustrator Joy Fitzsimmons's two dachshunds, Ned and Henry, as they romp through the gallery with a group of their beloved doggy pals. On their way they encounter Whistler's Mother, Picasso's The Dream, Matisse's The Fall of Icarus, Magritte's Lab and a Dachshund Pollock - all culminating in a doggy version of Campbell's Soup, Warhol's Squirrel Soup for dogs! The dogs see artworks from galleries around the world - including Rosseau at MoMA, Hokusai at the British Museum, Goya at the Prado and Bridget Riley at the Tate.
Encounter the world of paintings and sculptures the art gallery offers through a four-legged, lower to the ground and particularly canine point of view. Watch as the doggy gang - including dalmatians, basset hounds, border collies and Labradors - take their eventful stroll around the gallery, and really get into art (and spot the doggy additions!) This is a homage to modern art and dogs with their (old) masters. With a selection of beloved paintings and playful manipulations to bring them to a new audience.
