Four short stories and a novel related thematically through anomalies causing shifts in time, effects of climate change, impacting gravity waves, global warming and related phenomena.A group on the hunt for a puma supposedly killing farmer's sheep find themselves catapulted to a time 2 million years earlier. A strange artist constructs a weird tower that becomes alive and absorbs him into its being with potentially disastrous effects. An elderly man taking a nostalgic trip along an old, altered coast encounters events from his past that almost result in a disaster. A group of mercenaries in Southeast Asia encounters alien life threatening the whole world. The novel is a sequel to A Floating World, with the same main characters transported via a form of quantum entanglement with gravity waves shifting them into a future where sea levels are substantially higher than the present time; a world too hot, slowly deteriorating as people seek ways to survive.
