A World War II thriller, inspired by actual events. A German POW camp in New Mexico harbors a secret: a high-ranking Nazi SS officer, embedded with Afrika Korps prisoners as a sleeper agent, awaits secret orders to lead a deadly attack against the United States. A bold escape leads to the kidnapping of a strong-willed young war widow, and a confrontation with a local cowboy, her former lover, who realizes that the escapees plan to change the course of the war to Hitler's favor by tampering with the Manhattan Project in nearby Los Alamos.
