Bullying has become a widespread problem in schools. A new wave of research explores a range of perspectives on bullying behaviour and how to achieve long-term change. The key issue, then, is how to develop strategies for maintaining effective action against bullying. Areas covered in this text include: long-term maintenance of school-based interventions; issues relating to tackling persistent bullying; developments in student's attitudes towards bullying over time; new developments in understanding bullying - such as theory of mind and bullying; gender differences in bullying; attachment and bullying; and bullying in particular student populations, such as students with hearing impairments.
