This book presents the state-of-the-art information on decision support systems (DSS). Over the last forty years, DSS have developed from theoretical concepts into the real world computerized applications and they motivate cognitive decision-making functions of humans based on artificial intelligence techniques for the purpose of performing decision support functions. DSS consists of three primary components: user interface, computerized model and knowledge base.
