A friend recommended this book. I would never have bought it - "It has cartoons so it will be silly and elementary!" Boy was I wrong. I own probably 20 books on the enneagram and this is absolutely the best and most useful one. I recommend it to everyone.

I strongly encourage anyone ready and willing to work on self-development to read this book. Having studied the Enneagram for over a decade, it is clearly organized and easily digestible. He compassionately teaches the reader how to connect with the best aspects of self for the greater goal of loving ourselves and our communities better. This book is like the Bible read it and put into practice the teachings to live better and love better. Like the bible it has its own language but unlike the bible it has modern excerpts of therapy sessions with real people learning the practice and this helps the rest of us to grasp the ideas and how we might make them work for us. For me chapter 10 was the best because it focuses on when we are at our worst and teaches us to recognize why we end up doing things we regret.
