Lucinda Gifford was brought up in Scotland and originally intended to become an architect, studying Architecture at Edinburgh and Bath Universities.

Lucinda’s love of drawing buildings was cancelled out at the time by an overwhelming disinterest in construction sites and the newly-introduced CAD technology, and so she went on to spend a very enjoyable fifteen years in Auckland, London and Melbourne working in advertising and design.

These days, Lucinda lives with her family in Melbourne’s northern suburbs – and works as an illustrator, author-illustrator and graphic designer from her cosy, messy home studio.

Lucinda uses pencil, ink, crayon, marker, and watercolour to produce her illustrations, and usually uses PhotoShop to put everything together. When not sketching, designing or developing story ideas, Lucinda enjoys plot twists, beach walks and staring out the windows of Melbourne trams.

Claire Robertson is an Australian artist and illustrator based on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada. She weaves the whimsy of her island life into her work, incorporating the local flora and fauna in her characteristic style. She is well known for her much loved (prehistoric!) blog for which she has won many awards and accolades. She is also known for her iconic illustrations for the Truly Tan series, written by Jen Storer for Harper Collins Australia. Claire works digitally but also in traditional media: watercolours, paper-cutting, ceramics and textiles.

Sher Rill Ng is a Melbourne-based author and illustrator. She graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Design and works as a web and mobile UX/UI designer. She took part in the Imaginism House Workshop, an intensive art training program in Montreal, Canada, working with leading artists in the concept art/animation industry. Her works have been shown in numerous exhibitions, including the Light Grey Art Lab (Minnesota) and Gallery 1988 (Los Angeles). Sher Rill's debut picture book, Our Little Inventor, was followed by contributing Thumbelina's illustrations to the anthology Fairytales for Feisty Girls by Susannah McFarlane and illustrating Emma Allen's The Night of the Hiding Moon.
