A very interesting, but disturbing book, Made me buy the remaining books of the trilogy.
Overall I found them really worthwhile reading.
The book "Grey" was also very good

It seems too many are quick to judge and hate these days when something becomes an "overnight success". My only note to readers is to form your own opinion.

Although this book was originally an online fan fiction based very very loosely on Twilight it strays so far from that story and really becomes its own.

This book is pure fantasy. Yes it's not perfect or a literary masterpiece but I think that allows the average person to really get swept up in it. Personally I couldn't put the book down and have since picked up the following 2 stories in the series and am loving the ongoing drama between ana and christian. I have laughed, smiled and even shed a tear or two reading this book.

They are flawed people, each with their own problems and are able to find the love they need from each other. It has lots of sexual moments but is not smutty mum porn as so many are quick to label it.

The only people I wouldn't recommend this too are young teenagers. It's not teen fantasy. The sexual moments and BDSM aspects are far too advanced for any minor to be reading about and could give many the wrong impression; so parents please take note of that before letting your kids pick up this book.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the first book in the Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L. James. When 21-year-old college student Anastasia Steele interviews enigmatic CEO of Grey Enterprises Holdings Inc., Christian Grey, she does it as a favour for her unwell roommate. Shes not expecting such a young (27 year-old) attractive man. Grey is apparently attracted to Ana as well. Ana is sexually inexperienced and he warns her off because he is, by his own admission, fifty shades of f***ed up, but ends up propositioning her anyway, to become his Submissive. This novel , set over about four weeks, is frustratingly slow moving: if 500 pages = 50 shades of Grey, then it takes 8 shades to get to the first kiss, and a full 25 shades before Ana agrees to sign the Dominant/Submissive contract (although she never actually does). 30 shades to reach a spanking. I found myself thinking, just get on with it, will you! Throughout, there is rather too much of the blushing and breathlessness and ohhh hes so hot. Ana and her subconscious and her inner goddess spend much of the novel overthinking, overanalysing every word and look. And I sometimes found Ana to be either very nave or incredibly stupid: did she really think that her experience in the Red Room of Pain, a room filled with implements designed for punishment, was NOT going to be painful? There is some humour and plenty of sex. Literature it certainly is not. Soft porn ? Probably. Romance, erotica, yes. Apart from Ana, the characters are rather two-dimensional: after 500+ pages we still dont know why Christian Grey is like this. Although Anas mother, Carla, does have some sound advice about the complexity of men. Will I invest the time to read another thousand pages of this? Not sure

After all the raves on TV, this book was a disappointment, I had to wade through the last of it, boring, and will not be buying the other 2 in the series. Have read sex writers that are better by miles than this one!

The most amazing and intense book i have ever read -that had me mesmorized until the very last page, all the more eager for the next installment. I threw myself into christian grey and anastasia steele's world wholeheartedly, feeling a part of it all.
