I live in a place called Sandy Beach so this book has special significance for me and others in the community even though it was not written about our Sandy Beach. It is a lovely, gentle story about how a day at the beach went wrong - but in a rather delightful way. The children of all my friends and relatives have received copies of Greetings from Sandy Beach over the years and they have all loved it.
This book resonated with our family so closely, (yes, I was always into the packet off lollies before we had left our suburb!) that I had to buy a copy for each of our new grandchildren. I hope they too will love the story and fantastic illustrations of a visit to the beach.
