The grasp of human cognitive skills with their attendant responsibilities is essential to positive dialogue in a world of increasing heterogeneity. Culture is to be conceived empirically and not normatively in a world increasingly smaller where one's actions dramatically ripple through the lives of others with diverse views. Mutual enrichment is an attainable goal.
