Everyone feels guilty about something. Some people's guilt is small, but others aren't so lucky. Some people are forced to live every day knowing they let a person they loved die. Officer Bianca Vale is not one of the lucky ones.

After his wife is stabbed seven times in the back, Ray Cutter is arrested and detained at the Yucca Valley police station as the obvious suspect. Bianca, fresh off another failed date, takes on the night shift simply biding her time until the San Bernardino police pick up Ray and transport him to prison.
