Tammi Sauer

Tammi Sauer is the author of many picture books, including But the Bear Came Back, Caring for Your Lion, Chicken Dance, Cowboy Camp, Your Alien (which earned starred reviews in both Kirkus and Publishers Weekly), and Your Alien Returns (all Sterling).

She is an active blogger (tammisauer.com) and highly involved in the children's writer community. Tammi lives in OK with her husband and their two children. Her local indie bookstore, Best of Books, in Edmond, OK, has named July 9th Tammi Sauer Day.

Stephanie Laberis

Stephanie Laberis is a freelance illustrator and character designer for animation. Originally from New England, she now lives in Northern California with her wonderful partner, a couple of felines, and a handful of rodents.

Her love for art is rivaled only by her love for animals, and she spends her spare time as a volunteer wildlife rehabber. She loves painting, needle felting, and losing herself in a good video game.
