Typical Kumon bright, colourful pictures grab my toddler’s attention so it’s easy to encourage him to do these lessons. The book focuses on simple concepts such as recognising numbers, writing numbers and counting in order. I love the quality of this series - for example, the pages are good quality paper, ensuring that lessons on the reverse of each page are not dented from the lesson on the reverse and pencil, pen, crayon, etc do not show through (we haven’t tried textas though). I admit this is not my toddler’s favourite “subject” but he is learning and because it’s the colourful, engaging Kumon style he is used to, he at least gives it a go and improves his skills every time.
