Architectural photography plays an important role as a visual record of our constantly evolving built environment. For architects it is one of the final parts of the process: the expression of our design work through someone else's creative viewpoint.

Architectural photographers each bring their own sense of "self" to their work. Peter Barnes' photographs have a visual strength and an energy that is characteristically his own. The sense of detail and care within his photography evokes for me the same considered approach we architects take in realising our built outcomes. Seeing our work through his lens is a delight.
