Teresa Heapy recently went from publishing books for Oxford University Press to writing books. She is the author of the Very Little series, including Very Little Red Riding Hood, which won Best Picture Book in the Oxfordshire Children’s Book Award and the Coventry Inspiration Book Awards.

She lives in Oxford, England, with her husband and three children.

Jamie Smart studied art at college for four years, but it was just an excuse to practise drawing animals with boggly-eyes.

In 2013, Jamie's comic FISH-HEAD STEVE became the first work of its sort to be shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Jamie lives in Kent, just south of London.

Peter Bently is the award-winning bestselling picture book author of Shark in the Dark, Lark in the Ark, The Great Dog Bottom Swap and Cats Ahoy!

He won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2011.

Tom Jamieson moved to London from Australia in 1990 where he decided to try his hand at writing for radio. Luckily the BBC liked his work and he's been writing for shows such as The News Quiz and other topical sketch shows since 1995. Tom also writes for television programmes such as Dead Ringers, and his main job since 1999 has been writing for Private Eye.

Tom first started writing for children when he co-wrote the children's sitcom Scoop for CBBC between 2009 and 2011. Now he is turning his hand to children's books, and The Return of Sproutzilla is Tom's second picture book with Macmillan.

Luke Flowers is an author/illustrator living in Colorado Springs with his wife and three children. He began his lifelong dream of illustrating children's books in 2014, and has had more than 45 books published since then. When he's not illustrating in his creative cave, he enjoys puppetry, playing banjo, basketball, and having adventures with his family.

Clare Elsom is a children's illustrator and author. She is the creator of young fiction series Horace & Harriet, a highly illustrated series published by Oxford University Press.

Clare has also illustrated dozens of popular children's books, including the best-selling Flying Fergus series written by Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, and Joanna Nadin. Clare Elsom is based in Devon, UK.

Michael Garton graduated with a BA Hons in Illustration in the UK and is an experienced children's illustrator. He lives with his girlfriend and their dog in the UK where he enjoys his work and the beach.
