Jo Cotterill has had several careers - actor, musician, teacher, newspaper seller - but is now a full-time writer in Oxfordshire. She loves writing for all ages and has published over twenty books.

A Library of Lemons is a book from the heart about making connections and what it really means to be human. Jo loves going into schools and talking about books and reading, and can be found making cards and writing music when she's not spending time with her husband and two young daughters.

Joseph Coelho is a performance poet, children's author and playwright. His debut poetry collection Werewolf Club Rules won the CLPE CliPPA Poetry Award 2015 and he was included on The Guardian's 2018 list 'Fresh Voices: 50 authors you should read now.'

Catherine Bruton studied English at Oxford University and has been juggling life as a teacher, children's author and mum for the past fifteen years.

As an English teacher she sees first hand the impact stories can have on young readers - opening their eyes, expanding their horizons, making them ask questions and see the world differently.

Her books tackle some of the big issues faced by young people today - terrorism, immigration, the cult of celebrity, the refugee crisis - in ways that are heart-breaking, often hilarious, but invariably hopeful. As her alter-ego Cate Shearwater, she is also the author of the much-loved Somersaults and Dreams series.

Lou Kuenzler was raised on a remote farm on the edge of Dartmoor, before moving to Northern Ireland to study theatre.

She went on to work professionally as a theatre director, university lecturer and workshop leader in communities, schools and colleges, before turning her hand to writing a few years ago.

Shadow Snatcher is her second title for A & C Black.

Cat Clarke is the bestselling, award-winning author of six YA novels. She was born in Zambia and brought up in Edinburgh and Yorkshire, which has given her an accent that tends to confuse people. She lives in Edinburgh with her partner, two ninja cats and two decidedly non-ninja cocker spaniels.

Sarah is an illustrator living and working in between the dreamy spires of Oxford, UK. She has always loved drawing, especially creating characters and scenes because she thinks people are endlessly fascinating and entertaining!

Her illustrations usually start as hand-drawn line art in pen or pencil before working them up in Photoshop or Illustrator. When she's not in the studio, she likes being out in the Oxfordshire countryside with her friends, making screen prints and attempting some experimental vegan cooking, nearly always sound tracked to 6Music.

Beatriz Castro was born in La Rioja, Spain in 1985. When she was a little girl, she was always drawing and writing stories. She studied illustration at the school of arts in her home town, Logrono.

After graduating, she embarked on a career as a professional illustrator and has since been published by many international publishing houses. She especially enjoys creating funny characters.

Beatriz likes animals, classic stories and fairy tales and listens to rock and punk music.
