Gardner Dozois

Gardner Dozois has been working in the science fiction field for more than thirty years.

For twenty years he was the editor of Asimov's Science Fiction, during which time he received the Hugo Award for Best Editor fifteen times, Nebula Awards twice, and a World Fantasy Award.

He has also been inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame and has received the Skylark Award for Lifetime Achievement. He lives in Philadelphia, PA.

Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman has written highly acclaimed books for both children and adults and is the first author to have won both the Carnegie and Newbery Medals for the same work The Graveyard Book. The L.A. Times has described his multi-million-selling graphic novel series Sandman as 'the greatest epic in the history of comic books'.

Many of his books, including Coraline and Stardust, have been made into films, Neverwhere has been adapted for TV and radio and American Gods is in development as a major HBO series. He has also written two amazing episodes of Doctor Who and appeared in The Simpsons as himself.

In 2013 he published his first adult novel for seven years, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which received stellar reviews and was a bestseller around the world.

Garth Nix

Garth Nix was born in 1963 in Melbourne, Australia. A full-time writer since 2001, he previously worked as a literary agent, marketing consultant, book editor, book publicist, book sales representative, bookseller, and as a part-time soldier in the Australian Army Reserve.

Garth's books include the award-winning young adult fantasy novels Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen and Clariel; the dystopian novel Shade's Children; the space opera A Confusion of Princes; and a Regency romance with magic, Newt's Emerald. His fantasy novels for children include The Ragwitch; the six books of the Seventh Tower sequence; the Keys to the Kingdom series; and the Troubletwisters series and Spirit Animals: Blood Ties (co-written with Sean Williams).

More than five million copies of his books have been sold around the world, his books have appeared on the bestseller lists of the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, the Times and The Australian, and his work has been translated into forty-one languages. He lives in a Sydney beach suburb with his wife and two children.

Eoin Colfer

Eoin was born in Wexford, a picturesque coastal town in the southeast corner of Ireland. Attending the primary school where his father taught, Eoin first developed his interest in writing and began his life long habit of writing his own stories complete with illustrations.

He qualified as a primary teacher in 1986. He began teaching in a local primary school by day but continued to write at night. Eoin rapidly became involved in the local amateur drama group starring in, directing and later writing many award winning productions. His monster best seller Artemis Fowl was published in 2001.
