Terry Goodkind

Terry Goodkind was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where he also attended art school, one of his many interests on the way to becoming a writer.

Besides a career in wildlife art, he has been a cabinet maker, violin maker, and he has done restoration work on rare and exotic artifacts from around the world - each with its own story to tell, he says.

In 1983 Goodkind moved to the forested mountains he loves. There, in the woods near the ocean, he built the house where he and his wife, Jeri, live, and came at last to tell his own stories. He died in September 2020 at the age of 72.

Richard Cypher was badly hurt during his quest to find the Temple of The Winds Kahlan desperately trying to save his life unwittingly releases wild magic from the old world into the new creating a curse on all magical things which will lead them to an agonizing death as there magic is leeched away by fire water and air so when people around them start dying in mysterious and strange ways Richard must try and find a cure, this cure leads him to a place called Fairfield in Anderith here he discovers the truth of the curse and a very odd way of life which comes to a tragic end for some.
