This special omnibus edition collects two of contemporary fiction's best-loved novels of Love & Fantasy, both long out of print. The text has been reset & corrected, & features a new author's introduction. Originally published as BID IN TIME (Viking, 1975), Richard Matheson's evocative tale of one man's love literally transcending the boundaries of time was hailed by Publisher's Weekly as "Intriguing...tantalizing...marvelous...as romantic a setting as two lovers could find"; & it won that year's World Fantasy Award for best novel. (Matheson has also been awarded the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement award). SOMEWHERE IN TIME is currently one of the most requested OP titles on the collector's market, having legions of dedicated fans thanks to the continuing home video success of the 1980 film version starring Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour. WHAT DREAMS MAY COME is a novel of Love after Death; a unique journey into the Afterlife (based on the startling scientific discoveries of Kubler-Ross & Raymond Moody) which the Los Angeles Times called "Splendid, strange, & compelling." Both novels are time-tested classics of modern fantasy, each with strong followings that this handsome edition (acid-free, smythe-sewn) is sure to satisfy. STOP orders welcome.
