Philip Reeve

Philip Reeve was born and grew up in Brighton. He worked in a bookshop there and on various other projects before starting a career as an illustrator.

Although he has been writing stories since he was very young, Mortal Engines was the first to be published - and to incredible critical acclaim. Philip lives in Devon.

Chris Priestley

Chris Priestley is the multi award-winning author of the Tales of Terror series and the hugely popular and award-winning Mister Creecher.

He is also a talented artist and illustrator, and his cartoons have been published in The Independent as well as other national newspapers. He lives in Cambridge.
