Lloyd Alexander is saddly little known in Australia, which is a shame as all his work is brilliant. He should be as well known as J.K. Rowling and Roald Dahl.

My copy of The Book of Three, and the rest of the Prydain Chronicles, are from the 70s, falling apart at the spine, with pages getting thin and dogeared from so much turning. I honestly don't know how many times I read this series.

I do know that I love them still, and the characters and events remain quite clear in my mind to this day, possibly 25 years since I last read them.

I really need to read them again. And soon.
