Alec Bradshaw knows about ghosts. He specializes in finding them, then helping them find their way back home. Alec knows an obscure Southern legend about spirits-shadows with red eyes that hunt children and devour other spirits that get in their way. These shadowfolk aren't bound by place like other ghosts-he knows because he's faced them before. His own ghosts are trapped in his family home in Arkansas-spirits from his past that are calling him home, back to the wife and two children he left behind. Alec must now face those ghosts, repair all that is broken. He must do this before the shadowfolk come to devour the memories of his family, and steal away his children.
