This book was absolutely brilliantly addictive. I could not put this down, consuming each chapter, one after the other. For a first novel, this book is very well-written, with witty and occasionally comical thoughts from the main protagonist Cadence. The tense moments built anticipation and the action flowed nicely. I was even scared to go outside into the forest near my house.

Definitely read if you enjoy a good fantasy or just plainly, a great book.
