When Captain Alana Black arrives in the Cygnus system to offload the rescued teenagers, she is ordered to wait for an escort before docking at the Port Authority space station. She realises it is a set-up to remove her passengers, and permanently stop her reporting the illegal mining, so she flees the area.

She turns to a trusted friend seeking shelter while awaiting rescue, but time runs out when two space craft enter the area searching for her. Outgunned, she can do nothing but prepare for capture.
