Irene Latham

Irene Latham's passion for poetry started as soon as she could read and write, with Shel Silverstein and love poems crafted for her mother. Named Alabama State Poetry Society 2006 Poet of the Year, Irene has published poems for adults and children in anthologies, journals, and literary magazines.

She is also the author of two award-winning novels for children: Leaving Gee's Bend and Don't Feed the Boy. Her collections of children's poetry include Dear Wandering Wildebeest, When the Sun Shines on Antarctica and Fresh Delicious. She lives with her husband and three sons in Birmingham, Alabama.

Charles Waters

Charles Waters grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, and currently works as a poet and actor.

His poems for children have appeared in anthologies including One Minute Till Bedtime, and The National Geographic Book of Animal Poetry.

Charles conducts poetry performance workshops for elementary and middle school audiences across the nation, and he has performed in more than thirty states. He makes his home in New York City.

Mehrdokht Amini

Mehrdokht Amini is the illustrator of Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns: A Muslim Book of Colors, Chicken in the Kitchen, Yo Soy Muslim, and other books for children. For Crescent Moons and Pointed Minarets, she was inspired by the idea of bringing classical elements of Islamic art into a modern setting. She grew up in Iran and now lives in Surrey, England.

While we are unable to provide a delivery estimate, most backorders will be delivered within 120 days.  If we are informed by our supplier that the title is no longer available during this time, we will cancel and refund you for this item.  Likewise, if no delivery estimate has been provided within 120 days, we will contact our supplier for an update.  If there is still no delivery estimate we will then cancel the item and provided you with a refund.

If we are able to secure you a copy of the title, our supplier will send it to our Sydney warehouse.  Once received we make sure it is in perfect condition and then despatch it to you via the Australia Post eParcel service, which includes online tracking. You will receive a shipping notice from us when this occurs.
