Armchair fiction presents extra large paperback editions of the best in classic science fiction novels. Well, here we are with book six of our "Shaver Mystery" series. There's no question that the stories and articles included in this edition are as wild as anything Dick Shaver ever wrote-so you won't be disappointed First off is an editorial from the July, 1958 issue of Fantastic. That entire issue was dedicated to the Shaver Mystery, featuring a new Shaver novel, "The Dream Makers" (included here) two articles about the alleged "truth" of Dick Shaver's wild claims (included here), as well as an article about how to decipher Shaver's "Mantong" alphabet (also included here). From the Ray Palmer era we've also thrown in an additional vintage Shaver Mystery tale, "The Land of Kui," which dates back to the December, 1946 issue of Amazing Stories. We never thought we'd be doing more than a handful of Shaver Mystery volumes, but the response to our first five editions has been so good (some might say so disturbing) that we have plans for at least (heaven help us) ten total volumes, perhaps more. So kick back and loosen up the chains of your imagination-you'll need to-as you enjoy the wild and woolly worlds of Richard S. Shaver.
