I liked this new book, more of a look at the ins and out to the Crows and Ravens, wasn't to fussed on the leaders continually arguing to the point the Crow leader dreamlike killed the other and like it? Not sure what that was about. The constant fighting became tedious. A few out of the blue conflicts within the house with not much reasoning behind it. Took awhile for the new member Kera to find out what was happening and the Crows just never told her and pretty much left how to her own device to figure out herself. Author left that to the Ravens, WHY. A few lines of statement that the author assumes you get. As she had them mostly inhouse fighting I didn't get that. This didnt feel connected as her other characters do in her books. I did however love the Battle in Asgard also the relationship with Vig and Kera. I was actually waiting for a follow on from The Hunting Season. There she had it right, the Crows were a family you saw how the bonded but also the fights also having each others back. I didn't feel that in this book. I am hoping this series is like a prequel to The Hunting Season. As those character you could relate to. Also would like to see Janelle's relationship grow.
