A spaceship captain's needs are simple: Pilot a ship, hang with your crew, and drink a lot of coffee. Oh, and avoid people trying to kill you. When she and her crew land on a mining station to meet an arms dealer with information about her warmongering brother, that last one is out the window. Three out of four isn't too bad for Kylie Rhoads. Turns out, a lot of people want her dead and off the station, but she won't leave without finding out who put her would-be-assassin up to the task. One thing leads to another, and before long Kylie unearths a conspiracy she can't ignore. Now she'll not only fight for the lives of her crew but for everyone on the mining station because sometimes saving lives is more important than taking them.
