The military outlook for the galaxy?

Years ago, the allied species of the Interstellar Union defeated the AI threatening to burn down the galaxy. But the Union is breaking apart, and when an interdimensional distress signal arrives, only humanity is interested in helping.

Captain Vin Husher is sent in with a task force - right into an AI's trap. Surrounded by its bioengineered super-species and unable to return to humanity's home dimension, Husher must draw on decades of experience just to keep his people alive.
