Blast off with rocket science!

3-2-1! Blast off!

Rockets shoot through the air and deep into space.

This engaging board book breaks down one of the most complex scientific areas--rocket science--into simple, accessible language for readers of all ages. Learn about different parts of a rocket, how they work, and what they do for us today. Think about all the ways they'll shape our future. Accompanied by adorably illustrated baby scientists, your little readers will embark on an out-of-this-world journey welcoming readers into how science inspires our dreams for the future.

Explore how rockets may travel faster than the speed of sound. Ponder about flying across the world in an hour. Think about what it would be like to orbit the Earth! This charming board book will motivate toddlers to move out of their comfort zones, maybe even traveling to Mars!

From Starry Forest Books, Baby's Big World introduces babies to big concepts--everything from rocket science to music--for the very first time.

Alex Fabrizio

Alex Fabrizio received her MFA in creative writing from The Ohio State University in 2013, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.

Her work has previously appeared in journals such as Subtropics and Southeast Review.

She lives in New York.

Hilli Kushnir

Hilli Kushnir (aka silly Hilli) is a children's illustrator living in NYC with one husband, two kids, four plants and a few house flies that are harder to keep track of. She loves pets (that belong to other people) almost as much as she loves coffee (that she drinks too much of) and riding the NYC subway.

Hilli painted a lot as a child but as an adult majored in graphic design which is a bit like drawing but with shapes and letters. After graduating she designed a bunch of stuff for the internet, but when given the chance continued drawing, mainly characters.

Today Hilli's focus is children's books which allow her to be a bit silly and less of a grown up. She loves using happy colours and her favourite subjects are cute animals or little kids with missing teeth and messy hair.
