Pop-ups, lift-the-flaps, pull-tabs, mirrors, and touch-and-feel panels provide direct sensory experiences in this interactive introduction to the physical ways in which children can connect with their world. Fun cartoon-style illustrations explain how the five senses are used as well as the science involved. Including sidebars that offer a variety of simple experiments to do at home, this educational guide examines how taste, touch, sight, smell, and hearing really work and encourages self-discovery.
