Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. A JE Civil Engineering examination would generally mean He or She will be responsible for various functions carried out in their respective departments. It starts from taking stock of daily work done by the laborers to making plans for the next day involving allotment of work, supervising, etc. Working as a Junior Engineer under SSC is considered to be one of the prestigious jobs in society as it is a central government job.
