A weak, starving donkey foal arrives on the farm and Ellie, the buckskin mare, is desperate to help her new friend. His physical needs are met, but he has been traumatized by the neglect he has suffered. Ellie gladly shares her feed, but she also shares her story and the lessons learned over a long lifetime.
