A dance to the death. A girl who's just as monstrous as H.H. Holmes. A hallway that's constantly changing--and hungry. All of these stories exist in the same place--within the frame of a particular house that isn't bound by the laws of time and space. Following in the footsteps of dark/horror-filled YA anthologies like His Hideous Heart and Slasher Girls and Monster Boys, and Netflix's ground-breaking adaptation of The Haunting of Hill House, this YA speculative fiction anthology explores how the permanence of a home can become a space of transition and change for both the inhabitants and the creatures who haunt them. Each story in the anthology will focus on a different room in the house and feature unique takes on monsters from a wide array of cultural traditions. Whether it's a demonic Trickster, a water-loving Rusalka, or a horrifying, baby-imitating Tiyanak, there's bound to be something sinister lurking in the shadows.

She is now the author of the Carrington's books – set in a department store in the pretty seaside town of Mulberry-On-Sea, she has written three books and a short story following the life, loves and laughs of sales assistant, Georgie Hart.

The Great Christmas Knit Off is Alexandra's fourth book and is first in a new series set in the fictional village of Tindledale, following the lives of all the characters that live there.

Alex lives in a real village near the south coast of England, with her husband, daughter and a very shiny black Labrador.

Gina Chen

Gina Chen spent most of her life thinking she hated writing, until she churned out a few hundred thousand words of fanfiction and decided that maybe she was a writer. Her stories lean toward the fantastic, featuring heroines, antiheroines, and the kind of cleverness that brings trouble in its wake.

A self-taught artist with a degree in computer science, she generates creative nonsense in all forms of media and always has a project stewing. She has particular fondness for fairy tales, demon tales, romantic comedies, and quiz shows. Currently, she resides in Southern California, where the sunshine is as plentiful as its tea shops.

Traci Chee

Traci Chee is an all-around word geek, she loves book arts and art books, poetry and paper crafts. She studied literature and creative writing at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earned a master of arts degree from San Francisco State University.

Traci grew up in a small town with more cows than people, and now feels most at home in the mountains, scaling switchbacks and happening upon hidden highland lakes. She lives in California with her fast-fast dog. The Reader is her YA debut.

Linsey Miller

Linsey Miller's debut dark duology (ironically, about an assassin) MASK OF SHADOWS/RUIN OF STARS (Sourcebooks Fire) has received rave reviews, was a Fall 2017 Indie Next Pick and is on ALA's Rainbow List for 2019. Her next YA, BELLE R VOLTE, is on sale Feb. 2020. She lives in Texas.

Justine Pucella Winans

Justine Pucella Winans is a queer and nonbinary writer who resides in Los Angeles with their husband and orange tabby cat. They graduated with a B.F.A in Acting from Chapman University and now work at a talent agency.

Originally from Cleveland, they still say "pop" and have love for the city, just not the cold. When not writing, they try their best at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, read an alarming amount of manga, and try to make pasta even a fourth as good as their nonna's..

Tori Bovalino

Tori Bovalino, is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lives in London. She is currently a student in Royal Holloway's Creative writing and practice-based PhD program.

Her debut novel, The Devil Makes Three, is forthcoming from Page Street Kids with a follow-up novel, Not Good for Maidens, releasing in 2022. Tori was an associate editor for Profane Journal and The Shanghai Literary Magazine and read for Typehouse Magazine.
