Now, I may not be the target age for this book, but I love stories for all ages about travel, history and animals. When you combine all three in one book, I am that child again.

This is delightful and a very good read. The story of a wooly mammoth and the British Natural history museum is captivating but what is even more so is the story of the mammoth and the young girl of the story. I love the way David Walliams writes and jokes in his writing whilst also weaving emotional messages that touch children's concerns and worries at the same time. There's a lot to love about this book and I think it's my favourite so far (yes I've read them all - it's that inner child in me)

Free woolly mammoth inside ! the cover shouts. Aaah you will believe he's been in your life and home by the end of the story
