Originally published in 1809, Thomas Campbell's "Declaration and Address" was designed to recreate Christianity through study of founding documents. Campbell favoured a grassroots movement with little organizational mechanisms and argued against trying to separate levels of belief. A selection of essays that represent different perspectives and responses to the fundamental vision of "Declaration and Address". There is an edited version of the original piece printed alongside essays, insights and criticisms of the work, which are the results of a six month Internet seminar of 1997-1998. The work focuses on the thought of the "Declaration and Address", but also covers the theology of the original work and dicsusses the influences of Thomas Campbell.
